2 Art Events this Saturday in Wellesely and Duxbury

This saturday, January 18,  three of our members are showing their art.

MORNING

Join Chelsea Sebastian and Julia Bringhurst Blake for their Art Reception from 9am-12 at the Wellesley Free Library.

Accomplished artist Chelsea Sebastian is showing 'Colorscapes' her series of eclectic and dynamic acrylic paintings. Her work represents the colorful way she sees life and is inspired by seascape, international streetscape and family. She comes from an impressive line of professional artists and was recently the Artist in Residence at the Ten Acre Country Day School.  A native of Seattle, she now lives in Wellesley with her husband and 2 children.

Award-winning artist Julia Bringhurst Blake prefers to paint what matters. Her interpretation of that is expressed through color and symbol as well as subject allowing clients and viewers to decide for themselves what matters. She has an impressive ability to work across many categories from abstract to figure. She tends to use vivid colors, high contrast and bold strokes to create aesthetic and meaningful works. She lives in Wellesley with her husband and 5 of her 6 children.

The works of Sebastian and Blake compliment each other nicely and are a stark contrast to New England winters.  They can be viewed all month at the Wellesley Free Library. You are invited to a demo and reception on January 18 from 9 to noon to meet the artists. Both women are members of Wellelsey Women Artisans and The Wellesley Society of Artists.  For a preview see:  www.ChelseaSebastian.com   www.juliablakeart.com
